Make your own gemstone-set 925 silver ring in our intensive Gemstone Ring Making Workshop in Singapore. During this eight-hour silversmithing workshop, you will fabricate a silver ring from scratch and learn the specialist technique of flush setting.
A flush-set stone is secured directly within the surface of the metal so that it sits almost level with the ring. The result is a clean, contemporary design without raised claws or prongs.
With guided instruction, you will work through the complete ring-making process before setting your chosen stone and polishing the finished piece.
What you will learn:
- Use essential metalsmithing tools and a soldering torch
- Pierce, shape and solder a 925 silver ring
- File, sand and prepare the ring for stone setting
- Prepare a setting for a small faceted stone
- Flush set the stone securely into the ring
- Refine and polish the finished jewellery piece
